Caring For Your Jewelry
Fine jewelry deserves a little attention. With the right care, your pieces will keep their shine for years to come.
Daily Wear
Put your jewelry on last, after perfume, lotion, and hairspray have dried. These products can dull the shine of sterling silver and cloud the brilliance of your stones over time.
Cleaning
Wipe your pieces gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear to remove oils and residue. For a deeper clean, use lukewarm water with a small drop of mild soap, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and harsh chemicals.
Storage
Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or lined jewelry box to prevent scratching and tangling. Keep away from direct sunlight and humidity, which can accelerate tarnishing.
A Few Notes
- Remove jewelry before swimming, showering, or exercising — chlorine and sweat can tarnish sterling silver.
- Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time; this is normal and can be gently polished away with a silver cloth.
- Cubic zirconia and moissanite are durable but not indestructible — avoid knocking them against hard surfaces.
- Take off rings before handling cleaning products or doing manual work.
With a little care, your EFTOM pieces will stay as radiant as the day they arrived.
